Abstract

The paper deals with a comparison of evaluation scales used by the school inspection by an external school evaluation. We first do a theoretical comparison of the inspection evaluation systems of Saxony, Lower Saxony and the Czech Republic.

Comparing the structure of the evaluation scales and also the area in which the school is evaluated. Then we deal with the consequences that the evaluation of school inspections for schools arise.

In the final section, we focus on the question of how differently these evaluation systems of schools work on improving the quality of school - in varying degrees schools encourage self-development and to varying degrees expose them to pressure the possible consequences of school inspection.
