The contribution builds on theoretical studies (Kasáčová, B .; Kosova, B .; Pavlov, I .; Šnídlová, M .; Valica, M .; Vincejová, E) and describes the current situation in the standardization of professional competencies of teachers in Slovakia. It represents an international, normative, Development and terms of the evaluation concept.

These concepts require its own comprehensive methodology for the creation, modification and implementation of standards to teaching staff and school work. In addition to the theoretical context, notes the risks standardization process and formulates praxeological proposals and suggestions for improving the process of standardization in terms of professionalisation of teachers in Slovakia
