New approaches to heart trauma management

Abstract

Heart trauma usually occurs as a consequence of a chest injury from full health field, existing morphological tissue changes ( aneurysm, dissection) or iatrogenic mechanism (catheterization, pacemaker electrode's implantation). According to the pathogenesis is divided into non-penetrating (blunt) and penetrating (sharp).

The non-penetrating injury occurs mostly as a result of deceleration or direct compressive forces. Treatment of heart injuries, like medical science has made a significant progress in the last two decades.

Substantially by the development of medical technologies, new recommendations, brought into practice. Although the care of patients with cardiac injuries moved to specialized centers, the publication aims to systematically and clearly documents the issue and brings it to readers from along the general medical community.
