The Effect of a New Glidant Syloid on Pressing of Drug Tablets

Publication at Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové |
2014

Abstract

This work studied the effect of lubricants on the parameters of the compaction equation. Microcrystalline cellulose was used as filler.

Magnesium stearate, sodium stearyl fumarate and micronized synthetic amorphous silica gel (Syloid) were used as glidants. Experimental results of this work confirmed that Syloid, has many advantages compared to the other two glidants that were studied, and therefore it can be used very well in the industrial tablet production.
