Pharmacist Adolf Vomáčka (1856-1919) is one of the eminent figures of the Austro-Hungarian pharmacy at the turn of the 20th century. After finishing his pharmacy studies in Vienna, he worked as an employed pharmacist for a short time.
Since 1882, he was fully engaged in editing pharmaceutical journals, writing professional publications and management of his company trading in pharmaceutical devices. The paper presents Vomáčka's biography and an overview of his professional activities with an emphasis on his publications.
