Autologous fat tissue transfer

Abstract

Autologous tissue transfer brings new possibilities to aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. Fat tissue represents autologous filler, therefore 100% biocompatible.

In addition, it positively affects regeneration of tissue that was harmed by aging or irradiation. The technique consists of fat harvesting from subcutaneous tissues, most frequently the abdominal wall and flanks, fat processing and aplication into designated area.

We are able to achieve superior results at breast augmentation, breast reconstruction and as facial area fillers. Nevertheless, indications for this technique are not limitless and we have to weight up expected outcome and risks for each patient equally as in other surgical procedures.
