Surgical treatment of non-melanoma skin cancers

Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2014

Abstract

Non-melanoma skin cancers are the most common tumors at all. Every year worldwide were treated with several million patients and treatment costs outweigh the costs of the treatment of other tumors.

The most effective surgical treatment is considered, which brings the best chance of cure. Other treatment modalities are usually reserved for superficial tumors and multiple surgically intractable, or used as an adjunct therapy surgery.

Surgical treatment has its own rules that must be respected and which are listed in developed treatment guidelines. For the treatment of NMSC seems best use annually updated NCCN recommendations from the United States.
