Abstract
Was evaluated extemporaneous preparation of gels based on derivatives of cellulose, carbomer, gelatin and agar suitability gelling agent used, its concentration and the rheological properties of the final product. It was found that especially some cellulose derivatives and carbomers are supplied to the pharmacy improperly or inadequately marked.
The same material is delivered under a different name, or under the same name are delivered materials with significantly different rheological properties. This represents the preparation of gels, increasing the viscosity of the solutions or suspensions stabilize significant problem.
It is important to know the basic properties of the polymer used, the solubility, the manufacturer recommended procedure for preparing an aqueous dispersion of the declared value and viscosity. On this basis, can seamlessly modify the qualitative and quantitative composition in terms of the prescribed excipients.
