Abstract

Text on selected issues of pedagogy shows their historical context and enables reflect the development of educational thinking and practice. The first chapter Competence of the teacher and his professional profile introduces the current concept of the teaching profession and demands on teacher competence.

The second chapter Reflection of changes in teacher education describes developments in recent years within a European context in relation to education reform. The third is a historical overview of the pedagogical theories of educational policy and curriculum of schools of the late 20th century.
