Abstract
In December 2013, the OECD published a comparative study devoted to the standards in education. Underlying data was provided by 11 countries from 5 continents.
In this paper, we report on the part of the study, which deals with the standards for school principals. Our goal is to translate the content of these standards in summarizing categorization valid to all the countries included in the research.
In the conclusion, the author raises the question whether the same characteristics that can be traced across all the standards, despite to a wide variety of educational systems, might have universal application to the school principals in the Czech Republic.
