Abstract
Graphene is a single layer of carbon atoms organized to form a honeycomb lattice. It was isolated from a graphite crystal in 2004.
Graphene is the first two-dimensional crystalline material with many unique properties that make it interesting for numerous different applications. Therefore, graphene could be considered to become a part of secondary science curriculum.
