Abstract
The aim of the workshop was to discuss theoretical and methodological issues linked to spatial mobility among specialists on the topic, both from academia and from data administrators. Special attention was paid to Czech metropolitan areas.
The workshop consisted of the following thematic blocks: i) theoretical concepts dealing with spatial mobility and their relevance for research of contemporary cities, ii) the methodological problems of migration monitoring, iii) the methodological problems of monitoring commuting to work and to schools and iiii) new methodological approaches to monitoring spatial mobility.
