Two-sided a posteriori error estimates for the DGMs for the heat equation

Abstract

A two-sided a posteriori error estimate is derived for the heat equation. The approach is based on the Helmholz decomposition and averaging operators.

The behavior of derived estimate is demonstrated on a numerical example.
