Proteomic approaches in cancer biology

Publication

Abstract

To understand the nature of physiological and pathological mechanisms contribute quantitative and qualitative description of the proteome, ie all proteins in an organism, tissue, cell or body fluids. Proteome characterization / s deals with a young discipline, or rather a set of methods, techniques and concepts, called proteomics.

This thesis documents the successful application of various proteomic procedures and methods in experimental oncology. We dealt with three projects aimed at diagnosis and therapy of oncological diseases.

The first work deals with the identification of potential diagnostic biomarkers of ovarian cancer, while the other two focus on discovery molecular mechanisms of resistance to therapy of lymphoma cells, on its optimization and to search for new intervention sites (druggable targets).
