Abstrakt
The purpose of the article is to explain the 3rd line of the Trace of Crete. In terms of structure the Prussian piece is contrasted with the Dzūkian wedding song "Vai broleli broleli (Oh, brother brother)" (V 701).
Its constant feature senos bites spieciu laidzia "old bees are swarming" corresponds to the fragment [s]cha peda bete medd[u] "a bee is bringing honey".
