Abstract
The paper focuses on failures, errors and obstacles in teaching mathematics. It presents fundamental views of these notions that are important both for school as well as everyday life.
Besides characterization and classification of individual concepts, attention is paid also to teachers' managing errors and obstacles and possibilities of eliminating them.
