Abstract
Our paper highlights the main features and tendencies of the Old Norse translations of the matiére de Bretagne. The context of the 13th century-Old Norse literature is taken into account.
We will focus on the depiction of the settings in the shortened adaptations, concretely on their mysterious forests.
