This study is an inquiry into Hegel's interpretations fo Aristotle's psychology and metaphysics of spirit which are developed in his lectures on the history of philosophy. I try to defend the main proposition of Hegel's interpretations according to which Aristotle is not only in no opposition to Plato, but he is also more speculativ then Plato.
My procedure is to try first to give my own interpretation of some passages from tho books On the Soul and Metaphysics. Than I go on to analyse the intepretation of these passages by Hegel.
This procedure makes obvious Hegel's hermeneutical accuracy and his systematical interest in Aristotle's thinking. This study can also by understand as an attempt to put in the question the contemporary dominant materialistic conception of mind.
