Abstract
The article follows historical forms of the čamara coat, including its terminological shifts and ethymology from Persian silken robes called saamur to Spanish fur coat chamarra, Italian cloak zimarra, Russian čamerka and Polish or Czech patriotic coat, including analysis of Hungarian cultural aspects.
