Abstract
This article discusses the spa industry. It describes reasons for the location of spa sites in Czechia and discusses their various types.
The article explores the development of the spa industry in Czechia from its beginnings, through its golden era and - with greater detail - through the last twenty years. It also examines the economic and cultural significance of spa sites.
