Man-made Snow - Salvation or Blight?

Abstract

This article describes the history, principles and effects of man-made snow. It compares man-made and natural snow, explores the difficulty of making artificial snow and the perceived benefits such snow can have for tourist destinations.

The article some of the negative effects that accompany man-made snow. Specific examples from Czechia and other countries are described.

The question of whether using this available technology is a form of salvation or destruction is left open for readers to consider.
