Abstrakt
The book Facial skeleton traumatology: The authors present problems of diagnosis and treatment of fracture of the jaws and face together with the need for interdisciplinary cooperation. The head, which includes the skeleton of the face, creates a unique, anatomically complex functional unit.
In modern understanding of traumatology in general it is not possible to approach the treatment of injuries without knowledge and experience of general traumatology. Anatomically complex area involving skeletal face and many vital organs exceeds the limits of knowledge and therapeutic experience of one medical field.
Therefore, the final version of the book publication result from interdisciplinary cooperation of several experts. Parts of the present work are contributions from the Department of Anatomy, Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology.
