Abstract
The term school readiness and different criterias for measuring the school readiness are desribed in this chapter. There is mentioned the physical readiness, the areas of mental readiness and social-emotional readiness of the child.
The authors introduce readers with the basic methods of school readiness testing. Also the topic of school immaturity, delayed school entry and the issue of early school entry is mentioned.
