Case of longterm treatment of ankylosing spondylitis with golimumab

Abstract

A case of patient with severe active ankylosing spondylitis with peripheral involvement, refractory to standard treatment (NSAIDs, sulphasalazine, corticosteroids). Therapy with golimumab lead to a prompt reduction of all symptoms and laboratory parameters of inflammation and induce a long term and complete remission of the disease.

No adverse effects were observed.
