Abstrakt
Tomáš Halík paints a differentiated picture of the Czech society and the Church. For him, the Czechs are mostly not atheist, but "shy religious".
The church, dominated clerical in the communist era, could not renew its role in society. In respect to the three predominant types of religiosity - Mission areas, traditional "people's church" regions and sympathizers of the Church among students and intelligence - the main task for the Church is, according to Halík, enculturation of evangelism.
