A new, effective and safe bowel preparation before colonoscopy

Abstract

The elementary condition for endoscopic diagnosis of colorectal neoplasia is an adequate level of bowel preparation. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of a new low-volume bowel preparation solutions sulfate salts (Eziclen).

In the pilot study were enrolled 100 individuals meeting the conditions of the screening population. The effectiveness of the product was evaluated by the degree of bowel cleansing and detection of pathological findings (adenoma, advanced adenoma, carcinoma), safety of the product was evaluated according to changes in the internal environment of the body before and after preparation.

Subjective perception was assessed using questionnaires.
