Abstract
Accidents with chemicals at the workplaces in the Czech Republic show a slightly decreasing trend, however they belong to urgent situations when a rapid and appropriate action is of utmost importance. Most accidents involve the skin and eye, less frequent are inhalation exposures.
The treatment can be consulted with the Toxicological Information Centre. The workplaces should have a stock of antidotes in case of potentially lethal poisonings occurring at place.
