Abstract

The harmonic flute is a folk flute's prototype in the Carpathians. The residues of its appereance and making are found also in the northwestern part, in the Beskydy and Javorniky Mountains.

How diverse the local tradition of making the harmonic flute is, it is presented in the article through three examples of contemporary makers.
