Abstract
The chapter presents the social-psychological phenomenon of dehumanization and infrahumanization which are related to stereotypes. There are two types of dehumanization - mechanistic and animalistic.
Further, the chapter discusses the dehumanization in medicine. It can have a dangerous influence on doctor-patient relationship.
