Abstract
The PhD thesis is a comparative analysis of the English royal court in the context of political, religious, economic, social and cultural development of the country in the years 1603-1640. It is about the analysis and comparison of the personality of both rulers, personal constitution of the court and its internal hierarchy, religious situation in the royal court with regard to the religious aspects of development in England, the funding of the royal court and court culture and the influence of continental cultural traditions.
