Utilization of High Conversion Degree Detector with Renewable Working Material for the HPLC Determination of Sulfamethizole

Publication at Faculty of Science |
2014

Abstract

Sulfamethizole is sulfamid antibiotic used commonly in fast therapy of urinary tract and it is component of many pharmaceutical preparations. Therefore, there is need for its fast and sensitive determination.

HPLC with newly developed coulometric detector with renewable working material was used for this purpose. Optimal conditions of determination were found.

Calibration dependence was linear in the range from 100 μmol L-1 to its quantification limit, namely 0.04 μmol L-1. Newly developed method was used for determination of sulfamethizole concentration in tablets of Micturol(R) Sedante Fuerte.
