Abstract
The paper presents the basic characteristics of PISA and TIMSS research and the time evolution of the results of Czech pupils in science tasks of this two researches is briefly summarized. There are also mentioned problems which have Czech pupils in solving science tasks.
In conclusion are presented publications, which are based on analysis of the results of Czech pupils and bring new tasks of Czech authors focused on problem areas.
