Abstract

Setting: Gynecological Oncology Center, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Charles University, First Faculty of Medicine and General Faculty Hospital, Prague. Subject and method: Minimally invasive ultrasound- -guided biopsy may be done in patients with primary inoperable disease, suspicious recurrence of gynecological or non-gynecological malignancy or in case of diagnostic uncertainty of pelvic tumor origin.

Conclusion: Ultrasound-guided minimally invasive biopsy represents an accessible and relatively simple method useful in many indications, not only in gynecologic oncology.
