Impact of inhalation of factory-prepared equimolar mixture nitrous oxide/oxygen during dental setting on children's behavior

Abstract

Work deals with the use of factory-prepared mixture of oxygen and nitrous oxide in a ratio of 1: 1 (50% N2O / 50% O2) at a dental treatment of children. Presents the results of applying this method to the Department of Pediatric Dentistry ukes for 12 months.

Conclusion: The use of factory-prepared mixture of 50% N2O / 50% O2 has a positive effect on behavioral change among children in dental treatment without depending on historical performance. Repeat treatment then it exhibits better behavior changes than single treatments.

Significantly important is the presence of amnesia after the procedure, which is higher in children with no experience with surgical procedures and for the children attending the Department of Pediatric Dentistry longer period
