Abstract
Ginkgo biloba extract EGb 761 constitutes a mixture of many active substances with different pharmacological activities whose ultimate effect is synergistic. EGb 761 operates nootropic, neuroprotective and hemoerologicky, other effects of the free radical scavenging.
Conclusions many clinical studies in patients with dementia is not entirely clear, but most of the results shows mild to moderate improvement in cognition and negoknitivních alleviate the symptoms of dementia in patients treated with this contribution. Therefore EGb 761 treatment designed for mild cognitive impairment, mild dementia of the Alzheimer type, vascular dementia and mixed dementia.
