The Borders of Interculturality. Intercultural Concepts of Space by the Example of Prague German Literature

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2014

Abstract

The paper examines the significance of the concept of border/boundary to the question of an adequate description of intercultural constellations - and exemplifies these questions by the pluricultural conditions of Prague and the Czech lands before the Second World War. Most recently, it diagnoses that the concept of border is insufficient and proposes as another basic concept of intercultural studies the model of horizon.
