The text deals with interpretation in the context of cultural conflict between "white" majority and Roma minority in school based and outside school based education. It builds upon our six years long ethnographic research in various excluded localities in Czech Republic.
The survey is supported by the Czech Science Foundation within the project "Decision-making processes of helping professions in the sphere of intercultural relations" (Reg.no. P407-12-0547).
Crucial in this text is the framework of interpretation or "schema" GYPSY, that is widely distributed in the majority (and minority) and which is used for understanding of various acts and events that are related to persons that can be interpreted as Roma according to some prototypical features.
