European iniciatives on the single supervision mechanism and its consequences for the czech banking sector

Abstract
This paper deals with the lately forming concept of Banking Union. The main purpose of this article is to survey European Union legislative drafts which could be subsumed under the term of Banking Union.
In particular it will be the Single Supervisory Mechanism proposal, because it has passed through the legislative process furthest. Article also contains an evaluation of possible perils and their impact on the Czech banking sector or as a matter of a fact on the Czech national bank role.
At the and there is a brief recommendation for further procedure in this area.
