Abstract

The aim of this contribution is to describe the history of the small domain Albrechtice in the 1st half of the 17th century and to analyse some legal acts connecting with the transfers of its tenure. In the year 1628 brothers Rudolf, Jaroslav and Kryštof Kyj of Kyjov sold the domain to Albrecht of Valdštejn Duke of Friedland.

According to the contract of sale, they should receive the negotiated price from their own mother Anna Kyjová of Gerstorf. Some weeks later, another contract was concluded between Albrecht of Valdštejn and Anna.

Some formulations indicate the content of this contract was also to sell Albrechtice to Anna and to reserve the option to buy it again in the future for Valdštejn and his descendants moreover. It seems like very strange arrangement.

The contribution tries to prove that Anna receives Albrechtice as pledge and to desribe the background of the whole case as well.
