Abstract
Breakthrough pain decreases quality of life of cancer patients. Transmucosal fentanyl systems represent an effective solution to this problem.
Currently available in the Czech Republic fentanyl nasal spray, sublingual tablets, buccal tablets, and buccal film. The product selection decides the current clinical status of the patient.
