Architecture of Restriction. Central European Protestant Churches of the Counter-Reformation Era in a Comparative Perspective I

Abstract

The study deals with protestant churches in Central Europe. The authors argue that the local conditions and the possibilities of local congregations as well as the so-called national style influenced the design, the construction and the furnishing of particular churches more than the external religious legislative restrictions.
