Drug-induced peripheral neuropathies

Publication at First Faculty of Medicine |
2014

Abstract

The paper examines drugs of individual drug classes that are most likely to cause peripheral nerve injury. The authors describe the clinical features of injury in individual drugs as well as discuss the mechanism of injury, predisposing factors, relation to dose and cumulative dose, reversibility, and importance of early recognition of nerve injury.

They suggest that drug-induced neuropathies are more frequent than currently believed.
