The goal is to provide a summary about current classification systems of female sexual dysfunctions. To evaluate advantages and difficulties of new classification (DSM-5), mainly with respect of using it in a clinical practice.
Comparison of current three diagnostic scales of female sexual dysfunctions based on recent scientific reports, which evaluate its positives and negatives. The DSM-5 classification is with difficulties compatible to previous categorisation according to DSM-IV but also to other so far used system of classification of FSD (ICSM, MKN-10).
Sexual dysfunctions are described mainly as syndroms and the system is leaving its current symptomatic division. The problems are being more precise according to its duration, frequency of its occurrence and the difficulties are divided into mild, medium and severe.
New DSM-5 classification divides female sexual problems into three broadly defined ethio-pathogenetic conglomerates (sexual desire and arousal disorder orgasm disorder, genital-pelvic pain and penetration disorder), by which a possibility of exact disorder placement was narrowed according to a female sexual activity cycle scheme
