Abstract

This work describes the history, development and current progression of mikroincision surgery in surgery of the posterior segment of the eye. It describes the technique of anesthesia, new surgical tools and procedures to manage operational unit, characterizes and describes the advantages and disadvantages / risks of the sutureles intraocular surgery.

With technical improvement of the tools and operating units there is a possibility of sutureles mikroincision posterior segment surgery. Continuously expanding technical performance options that no longer confined only to 25G vitrectomy easier macular indication.

This technique provides better and faster postoperative healing, shorter recovery time, simplifies operational performance and reduces operating time.
