Arab Revolutions and Political Islam: A Structural Approach

Abstract

The chapter deals with uneven modernization process in the Middle East between 1960 and 2010 and its political consequences exemplified in the so called Arab revolutions as well as in the rise of political Islam in comparative perspective.
