Ceramics from trench NA

Publication at Faculty of Arts |
2014

Abstract

The ceramic material recovered from this long trench, cutting across enclosure walls, provides important chronological evidence for the development of the site from the Late Period onwards. Dating from the late New Kingdom onwards, but with the concentration of Late and Ptolemaic Period ceramics, with a small amount of Roman era pottery, the enormous quantity of ceramics, significantly more than in other areas of the site, prompted a strategy of sub-sampling, with 50% of the ceramics studied.
