A giant retrosternal thyroid goiter causing persistent tickly cough

Publication |
2014

Abstract

Patients with symptoms of persistent long-term irritating cough and dyspnea is a common case in allergist's office. Let us demontrate a patient story with the same anamnesis who was treated for bronchial asthma in our case, too.

Our final diagnosis there was a bulky tetrosternal goiter. After total strumectomy patient's prolonged difficulties completely regressed.

The autor's recommendation is to think about the less common causes particularly where standard treatment does not lead to resolution of symptoms.
