Abstract
The handbook was written for ENT specialists with interests of tonsillectomy. The basic key words, pathophysiology and symptoms are specified in the first part.
List of indication criteria for both, tonsillectomy and tonsillotomy is followed by description of the surgery. In the end the list of most frequent complications and the pitfalls of nursing care of patient after the tonsillectomy are discussed.
