Abstract
The present invention relates to a detection of nitrogenous substances (amino acids, peptides, amines and derivatives thereof) by means of "on-line" post-column derivatization with a solid derivatization agent (copper or insoluble copper compounds) for spectrophotometric detection in ultraviolet and visible (UV-VIS) spectra. The derivatization with a solid derivatization agent followed by spectrophotometric detection is usable in high-effective separation methods such as High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Capillary Liquid Chromatography (CLC).
