The paper reports on the concept and results of the survey for teachers of informatics subjects and case studies of the development of information technology competencies pupils and implementation of ICT into the school educational environment, which were used as research methods within the project realized in 2013. The project was focused on a complex issue of curricular, process and organisational aspects of informatics, or information technology education in primary and lower-secondary schools in the Czech Republic.
The project ran in more than 1000 primary and lower-secondary schools and the survey for teachers and case studies method were applied in the final phase of the project. Electronic survey was given to respondents' interested greater participation in the research in 167 schools and 6 case studies were conducted in selected schools.
The purpose of survey for teachers and case studies was to supplement other applied methods and to partly complement the findings of the research.
